Changing Element Colors

~ This tutorial assumes you are familiar with the tools in PSP ~
It was written on April 19, 2007, using PSP 9, but it can be completed in most versions.
Tutorials are only guidelines, it's always fun to experiment with different settings on your own : )
There are numerous ways of changing the color of an element, this is just one of them.
Supplies needed:
Corel Paint Shop Pro
Sample Bow
Step 1:
Open the element you would like to recolor, or use the bow included in my supplies.
Duplicate it by holding down the shift key and hitting the letter 'd' on your keyboard.
Close the original.
Step 2:
We first need to remove the color from the element. Although this can be done
a few different ways, we are using the below technique for the purpose of this tutorial.
Adjust > Hue and Saturation > Colorize: Hue 43, Saturation 0.

Step 3:
fill this new layer with a color of your choice. I used #376548. Select none.
Step 4:
Change the blend mode on the top layer to one that looks good to you. I used
Color Legacy, but you might like to try a different one, depending on the fill color you used.
You can also adjust the brightness/contrast settings and/or the opacity
of the top layer to change the effect. Have some fun playing with the
different settings.............that's it, you are done!
Thanks for stopping by, I hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
