Fun with Shapes 2

I wrote this tutorial on April 10, 2007, using PSP 9, but it can be completed in most versions.
Tutorials are only guidelines, it's always fun to experiment with different settings on your own : )

This tutorial shows you that I had way too much time on my hands one day, lol.

Step 1:

Ok, here we go, create a new raster file 300x300, white background.

Step 2:

Grab your Ellipse tool (or hit 'q' to activate it).
Set your Foreground/Stroke color to black, Background/fill color to null (transparent).

Set the options for the ellipse tool as follows:

Mode: Circle, Create as vector: Checked, Line style: Solid, Width: 215.15, Anti-alias: Checked

Step 3:

Place your cursor somewhere near the middle of the canvas.  It really doesn't
matter where at this point, we will center it later.

Keeping an eye on the status bar at the bottom right of your screen, drag out a circle measuring 3x3 pixels.

Step 4:

You should now have something like this, pretty cool.

Center your shape, by going up to Objects > Align > Center in canvas.

I used the above shape to make the inside of this frame, by converting the shape to raster and warping it.

Now try it with different sizes, or shapes, here are a few examples of others I played with:

Because these are vector shapes, you can resize them at any time with no distortion.

If you find one you really like, export it as a custom shape by going up to
file > export > custom shape.  I made mucho shapes, but I won't bore you with them all, lol.

Thanks for stopping by, I hope you had some fun with this tutorial!
